Soniji Ki Nasiyan, also known as the Red Temple, is a Digambar Jain temple in Ajmer, Rajasthan, dedicated to Lord Adinath, the first Tirthankara. It is best known for its hall of golden figures, the Swarna Nagari.
The temple is a major Jain pilgrimage site in Rajasthan and a popular stop for visitors to Ajmer.
Story of Soniji Ki Nasiyan
The temple was built in the nineteenth century by Seth Moolchand Soni and is made of red sandstone, which gives it the name Red Temple. The main chamber holds the Adinath shrine, and the Swarna Nagari hall is decorated with gold-covered wooden figures depicting scenes from Jain scripture.
The Swarna Nagari shows the five auspicious events of Adinath's life and the golden city of Ayodhya.
