    🕉About Sabarimala Sastha Temple Darshan

    The Sabarimala Sastha Temple stands on a hill in the Western Ghats in Pathanamthitta district, inside the Periyar Tiger Reserve. It is dedicated to Lord Ayyappa, also called Sastha, and is among the most visited pilgrimage sites in the world.

    Pilgrims climb the eighteen sacred steps, the Pathinettam Padi, carrying the irumudi, a two-part bundle of offerings. The temple is administered by the Travancore Devaswom Board.
