🕉About Nageshwar Jyotirlinga Darshan
The temple is revered as the "Lord of Serpents" (Nageshwar). Legend tells of Lord Shiva manifesting here to protect his devotee Supriya from the demon Daruka. A unique feature of this temple is the 80-foot-tall seated Shiva statue, which is visible from miles away. Darshan here is considered highly potent for removing "Sarpa Dosha" and negative influences. The main deity resides in an underground chamber, where devotees can typically touch the Shivalinga (Sparsh Darshan) during non-peak hours, provided they follow the traditional dress code.
