    🕉About ISKCON Mayapur Darshan

    ISKCON Mayapur, also called Sri Mayapur Chandrodaya Mandir, is the principal pilgrimage centre of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness. Mayapur is revered in the Gaudiya Vaishnava tradition as the birthplace of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, who is said to have appeared here in 1486.

    The temple complex is centred on the worship of Sri Sri Radha-Madhava with Their Asta-sakhis, with shrines for Sri Pancha-Tattva and Sri Prahlada-Nrsimhadeva. A very large temple, the Temple of the Vedic Planetarium, is under development nearby.
