    🕉About Dwarkadhish Temple Darshan

    The Dwarkadhish Temple, also called the Jagat Mandir, stands on the bank of the Gomti river at Dwarka in Gujarat. It is dedicated to Lord Krishna as Dwarkadhish, the King of Dwarka. According to tradition, the first shrine here was built by Vajranabha, Krishna's great-grandson, and the present structure is of later centuries.

    The temple rises in several storeys, supported by many carved pillars and crowned by a tall spire that carries a large flag, which is changed several times a day. Dwarka is one of the Char Dham and one of the seven sacred cities, the Sapta Puri.
