Birla Mandir

The temple was constructed in 1976 by the Birla Foundation. The foundation stone was laid by Swami Ranganathananda of the Ramakrishna Mission.The temple stands as a testament to the philanthropic endeavors of the Birla family, renowned industrialists known for their contributions to various religious and cultural projects across India. Birla Mandir serves as a symbol of religious harmony and unity, attracting devotees from diverse backgrounds to worship and seek blessings from Lord Venkateswara and Goddess Lakshmi. The temple is crafted entirely from white marble, sourced from Rajasthan, giving it a majestic appearance that gleams in the sunlight.The architectural style of the temple predominantly reflects South Indian temple architecture, with intricately carved pillars, domes, and gopurams (entrance towers).Despite its South Indian influence, the temple also incorporates elements of Rajasthani and Utkal architecture, evident in the ornate carvings and sculptures adorning the temple’s exterior and interior.
