Abhishek Puja in Bhimashankar is a Hindu ritual where water is offered with other items on the lingam. The puja is mostly performed in the temples. During the puja various mantras are also chanted and prayers are done. Jal Abhishek is performed to invoke the blessings of Rudra the form of Lord Shiva.
The puja is started with Purushsukta, Than all the mantras are done by following all the required rituals according to the vedas.
