The Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi is a revered Hindu shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva and one of the sacred 12 Jyotirlingas. Standing on the western bank of the holy Ganga, it is believed that a visit to this temple and a dip in the river leads to Moksha (liberation).

The temple houses the Jyotirlinga, a divine symbol of cosmic light. The Gyanvapi Well, nestled within the complex, is believed to cradle the sacred waters of the Ganges. The current temple structure was built by Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar of Indore in 1780.
