HAR HAR MAHADEV

The Golden Temple of Lord Shiva

The Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi is a revered Hindu shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva and one of the sacred 12 Jyotirlingas. Standing on the western bank of the holy Ganga, it is believed that a visit to this temple and a dip in the river leads to Moksha (liberation).

“He who dies in Kashi attains liberation, for Lord Shiva himself whispers the Tarak Mantra into his ears.”
